Centenarian Skydiver: Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Helps Alfred Blaschke Reclaim His Guinness World Record

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott joined forces with 106-year-old skydiving legend Alfred “Al” Blaschke to recapture his Guinness World Records title by jumping out of a plane at the age of 106 years and 327 days old. Previously, Blaschke had earned the title of the oldest person to tandem skydive when he jumped out of a plane at the age of 103 in 2020. However, his record was broken by a Swedish woman named Rut Linnéa Ingegärd Larsson, who was 103 years and 259 days old when she went skydiving.

To prove once again that age is just a number, Blaschke took to the skies once again. This time around, he shared his wisdom with all those who doubted him, saying “If you think you can’t, you’re just underestimating yourself. Everyone is more capable than they think.
