The Boston Celtics are set to celebrate their 2024 NBA Championship with a parade on Friday, June 21st. The parade, which is expected to attract over 1 million spectators into the city, will begin at 11 a.m. and make its way through various iconic landmarks in the city, including City Hall Plaza, Boston Common, and Boylston Street.
In anticipation of the celebration, Mayor Michelle Wu declared a “Heat Emergency” due to a heatwave hitting the area on June 18th. Despite the extreme temperatures, loyal Celtics fans are eager to hit the streets to show their support of the team and join in on the festivities.
The championship parade is scheduled to kick off on Causeway Street, making its way through City Hall Plaza and Boston Common before concluding on Boylston Street. Undoubtedly, iconic duck boats are expected to be part of the procession as well.
This historic win marks the Celtics’ first championship in 16 years, solidifying their status as the team with the most NBA banners.
