Celebrity Sightings at Inwood Tavern: Where Sports Stars and Local Legends Gather

Scottie Scheffler, the world’s top golfer, made a stop at a Dallas bar following his victory at The Masters.

Inwood Tavern, a longstanding watering hole in Dallas, has been open since 1964 and is one of North Texas’ oldest bars. On April 14, 2024, Highland Park golfer Scottie Scheffler made a pit stop at the tavern to celebrate his second green jacket in three years at the Masters Tournament. The relaxed environment at Inwood Tavern is perfect for celebrities like Scheffler to blend in without much attention.

Inwood Tavern serves as a pool hall, sports bar, and patio hangout all in one. Manager Sam Graves mentioned that they aim to provide a comfortable atmosphere for all patrons, including celebrities like actor Owen Wilson, who has also visited the tavern. Local fans eagerly watched the Masters Tournament to see if Scheffler would be forced to withdraw if his wife went into labor. Fortunately, that did not happen, allowing Scheffler to finish the tournament and return home to Texas. While some wondered if Scheffler’s appearance would attract larger crowds to Inwood Tavern, the bar seemed to operate as usual the following day.

Inwood Tavern is located at 7717 Inwood Road in Dallas and has been a staple in the community for six decades. For more updates on food news, you can follow Sarah Blaskovich on social media at @sblaskovich.
