Celebrating the Opening of the Brian Kern Family Stadium: A New Era for DSU Athletics!

New Sports Centers and Kickoff Concert Revealed by Dakota State University

Dakota State University is set to host Trojan Nights on Thursday, Aug. 27 to celebrate the opening of the Brian Kern Family Stadium at the Beacom PREMIER Complex. The event will feature a concert featuring Old Dominion and special guests Brothers Osborne, Elle King, and Host/DJ Blake Horstmann.

The new sports centers are part of a $41 million complex that is the first new DSU athletics facility since the completion of the Fieldhouse in 1960. The South Dakota Board of Regents recently approved the naming of the Beacom PREMIER Complex and the Brian Kern Family Stadium. President José-Marie Griffiths expressed gratitude for the support of generous stakeholders who funded the complex.

The new facility will provide top-notch facilities for DSU’s athletes and bring recognition to the university. The Brian Kern Family Stadium and Blankley Field are named after these stakeholders who have shown their commitment to supporting DSU’s athletics program. This marks an exciting new chapter for Dakota State University as it continues to invest in its athletes and fans alike.
