U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) has announced Ruthven Meat Processing of Palo Alto County as her Small Business of the Week for this Congress. As Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, Ernst plans to spotlight a small business in each of Iowa’s 99 counties during her time in office.

Founded in 2002 by Terry and Beth Kraft, Ruthven Meat Processing is known for providing high-quality meats and cheeses to customers in northwest Iowa. The business has a reputation for expertly cut products, and has locations in Arnolds Park, Spencer, and Spirit Lake. In 2019, their son Chris Kraft took over the business and now serves as president and CEO, while his wife Suzie is the vice president of marketing.

Ruthven Meat Processing has received numerous awards from the Iowa Meat Processors Association for their excellence in the field, celebrating its 22nd business anniversary in 2024.
