Cebu Pacific Air Purchases 152 Airbus Planes in Historic $24 Billion Deal

Cebu Pacific Air, a major player in the Philippines aviation industry, has reached a preliminary agreement with Airbus to purchase 152 aircraft. This order is valued at $24 billion (€22.4 billion) at list prices, although discounts are expected. This deal represents the largest aircraft order in the history of the Philippines.

Specifically, Cebu Pacific Air will be ordering 102 A321neo aircraft with an option for an additional 50 units. The A321neo is one of Airbus’ best-selling aircraft models and the order backlog is significant.

Airbus has expressed gratitude to Cebu Pacific Air for their continued trust in their products and looks forward to finalizing the contract in the third quarter. This partnership solidifies the relationship between the two companies and emphasizes the importance of the Philippine aviation market for Airbus’ business strategy.
