CBSE Launches Science Challenge to Foster Scientific Skills in Students

CBSE hosts Science Challenge Program for Students in Grades 8 to 10

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has organized a Science Challenge for students in classes 8 to 10. The challenge aims to foster curiosity, inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students. It is divided into two rounds: an intra-school competition and an inter-school challenge, both of which are focused on science, the environment, and sustainability.

To participate in the challenge, students do not need to pay any application fees. In the first round, which is open to all CBSE-affiliated schools, students from classes 8 to 10 must register their school before participating. In the second round, schools can nominate their top six students from each participating class to compete for online participation certificates from the Board. The top-performing students will receive appreciation certificates as well.

The challenge paper will consist of multiple-choice questions that test both speed and accuracy. Participants in the second round will be evaluated based on their performance and will receive recognition for their efforts. Schools are encouraged to support student participation in this exciting program to help them develop and showcase their skills.
