CBS Sports To Air Invicta Fighting Championship Events in Groundbreaking Deal: Expanding Reach for Women’s MMA

CBS Sports signs media rights deal with MMA property Invicta Fighting Championship

Invicta Fighting Championship, the all-women MMA property, is set to strike a new agreement with CBS Sports to air its events on the Paramount Global-owned network. The partnership will see CBS Sports broadcast five of Invicta’s events this year, marking a significant shift from the property’s previous online-only platform on AXS TV since 2021.

Founded in 2012 and owned by Anthem Sports & Entertainment, Invicta has been a breeding ground for talented fighters who have gone on to achieve success in the UFC, such as Amanda Nunes and Rose Namajunas. Previously, UFC had aired Invicta events on its UFC Fight Pass OTT network from 2014-2020. However, with Paramount Global largely leaving the fight space following the closure of Showtime Sports and its boxing coverage at the end of 2023, Invicta was looking for a new platform to showcase its talent.

With this new partnership, Invicta aims to reach a wider audience and continue to showcase the talents of female fighters in the MMA world. By securing airtime on CBS Sports, the organization hopes to expand its reach and attract more fans to women’s MMA. The upcoming events scheduled to be aired on CBS Sports will provide a platform for rising stars in the sport to shine and make a name for themselves on a larger stage.
