On Championship Sunday, Cassio Dias secured the PBR 2024 World Championship by successfully riding his final two bulls inside AT&T Stadium. Despite facing stiff competition from fellow rookie John Crimber, Dias managed to hold onto his lead and clinch the title with 79.5 points on Chiseled in the Fourth Round.
Dias’ exceptional rookie season earned him numerous accolades, including the titles of World Champion, Rookie of the Year, and the Mason Lowe Award for the highest scored ride of the regular season at 94.75 points. He made history by becoming just the second cowboy in PBR history to win Rookie of the Year and a World Championship in the same season. Throughout the season, Dias accumulated winnings totaling $1.6 million, with seven event wins and nine rides scoring over 90 points.
By the end of the season, Dias finished with 1,830 points, a comfortable 239 points ahead of John Crimber. Eduard Aparecido claimed the third spot in the final World Standings, with Dalton Kasel and Alan De Souza rounding out the Top 5.
