In a thrilling US Open Cup match, Carolina Core emerged victorious over Vermont Green with a 2-1 defeat. Despite taking an early lead with Yaniv Bazini’s penalty conversion in the first half, Vermont Green struggled to maintain their advantage.

Goalkeeper Nathan Schnur put in an impressive performance, making five crucial saves to keep Vermont Green ahead. However, Carolina Core equalized in the 60th minute with a penalty from Papa Ndoye, and Joshua Rodriguez sealed the victory for the visitors with a powerful rebound shot in the 70th minute.

Despite numerous opportunities in the later stages of the game, Vermont Green was unable to find the equalizer, resulting in their defeat. Head coach Adam Pfeifer expressed gratitude for the support from the community and fans, acknowledging the effort put in by the team.
