Cardinals Analytics Manager Charlie Adkins Joins Lions as Senior Director of Football Operations

Lions recruit football analytics manager from Cardinals

Charlie Adkins, the manager for football analytics and research at the Arizona Cardinals, has left the team to join the Detroit Lions as their senior director of football operations. After spending seven years with the Cardinals, Adkins began his career as a football operations analyst before transitioning to the analytics and research department where he worked for five years.

During his time with the Cardinals, Adkins was instrumental in assisting general manager Monti Ossenfort with trade scenarios in the NFL draft. His departure means that the Cardinals will no longer have his expertise in this area. However, his promotion to senior director of football operations with the Lions is a significant career advancement and a testament to his dedication and hard work during his time with the Cardinals.

Adkins will now be working alongside COO Mike Disner, who also has ties to the Cardinals organization. The Lions will benefit greatly from Adkins’ expertise in football analytics and research as he joins their team. It will be interesting to see how he contributes to their success moving forward.

Congratulations to Charlie Adkins on his new role with the Detroit Lions, and best wishes for his continued success in the NFL. For more insights and analysis on the Arizona Cardinals, be sure to tune in to Jess Root’s podcast, Rise Up, See Red, available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple podcasts.
