Cardiff City’s In-Demand Midfielder Rubin Colwill: Ipswich Town Manager Keen on Signing, But Will He Leave the Bluebirds?

Kieran McKenna shows admiration for Cardiff City star amidst Premier League attention

Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has expressed interest in signing Cardiff City midfielder Rubin Colwill, but it looks like Colwill will stay with Cardiff despite Premier League interest. Journalist Darren Witcoop reports that McKenna is exploring ways to strengthen his team for the upcoming season in the Premier League, and Colwill is on his radar.

Colwill, 22, played 36 matches in the Championship last season, scoring a goal against Bristol City. He also faced off against McKenna’s Ipswich team in both of their Championship matchups. Despite rumors of other Premier League clubs eyeing him, it seems that Colwill will remain with Cardiff for the time being.

Colwill is under contract with Cardiff until 2027, and the club is eager to retain him. The talented midfielder has also represented Wales at the international level and recently played in a friendly against Gibraltar. Although there are other options available to him, it seems that Colwill will continue to develop his career at Cardiff for the foreseeable future.
