Cardiff City youngster Isaak Davies, 22, will return to the Welsh side in pre-season after a successful loan spell at Belgian club Kortrijk. During his time at Kortrijk, Davies was named player of the year and scored 12 goals in 34 appearances. He is a Wales Under-21 international and is under contract at Cardiff until 2025.
The trio of Sheyi Ojo and Ryotaro Tsunoda, who are also on loan from Cardiff at Kortrijk, will also return to the Welsh side for the upcoming pre-season.
Kortrijk recently avoided relegation from the top flight by beating Lommel in a play-off over the weekend. It’s worth noting that Kortrijk is owned by Cardiff owner Vincent Tan. The news of Davies’ successful performance has sparked transfer interest from other clubs, but he remains under contract with Cardiff until 2025.
