Caption Contest Winner: Reminiscing About Affordable Cowboys Games of the Past

Winners of the Dallas sports caption contest

Last week, we launched a caption contest and received a flood of entries from our readers. The winning caption, chosen by our editors, was from Ted Gold of Plano who reminisced about the days when attending games was more affordable. Another finalist, Scott Franklin of Tyler, humorously pointed out how long it’s been since the Cowboys played for a championship by referencing his lost hair.

We want to thank all who participated in the contest, including our other three finalists: Jeff Oldham from Lexington, Ken.; Dale Long from Garland; and Alan Rubin from Dallas. Keep an eye out in the Opinion section for our next caption contest later this month.

In addition to providing intelligent perspectives on issues that matter to North Texans in the Opinion section, we value your feedback. If you have thoughts to share, please consider submitting a letter to the editor with your insights. You can find guidelines for submissions and submit your letter online or email us at letters@dallasnews.com if you encounter any issues with the form.
