Captain America: Brave New World: First Look into Anthony Mackie’s Return as Captain America

Captain America: Brave New World Exclusive Clip Shown at CinemaCon with Harrison Ford Urging Anthony Mackie to Reassemble the Avengers

During Disney’s CinemaCon 2024 presentation, attendees were given a sneak peek into the upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World. The clip featured Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross asking Anthony Mackie’s Captain America to rebuild the Avengers. The scene began at the White House in Washington, D.C., with President Ross sporting a new look, sans mustache.

A pivotal moment in the footage involved President Ross assigning Sam Wilson the task of rebuilding the Avengers following the events of Endgame. The discovery of the stolen Millennium from a Japanese mining site was also discussed, with Cap and Joaquín Torres successfully retrieving it. However, chaos ensued as Isaiah Bradley and another agent were triggered by a high-pitched sound, leading to a violent confrontation.

Captain America: Brave New World is set to hit theaters on February 14, 2025, promising to explore what it means to be Captain America and follow Wilson’s journey as he takes on this new role. Liv Tyler will be back as Betty Ross, alongside Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/The Leader, introducing a new Hulk villain into the mix.

Other highlights from CinemaCon 2024 included glimpses of Gladiator 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Stay tuned to IGN for more updates and news on these films and other exciting projects coming soon!
