Canine Companions: Nurturing the Bond Between Youth and Their Canine Counterparts

Children gain valuable knowledge and experience at Puppy Science Camp

For the past 12 years, the Mars Petcare Dog Science Camp has been a beloved summer program offering at the Edgerton Explorit Center for local youth. This camp provides an immersive experience for campers to learn about dogs and bond with their furry companions.

During the week-long camp, eighth grader Justin Brainard and other campers participated in hands-on activities like jumping through hoops on an obstacle course with their dogs, as seen with camper Asher Heiss and his furry companion, Leo. The closing dog show allowed campers to showcase the skills they had learned with their dogs, demonstrating their newfound knowledge and love for these amazing animals.

The Mars Petcare Dog Science Camp offers a unique opportunity for youth in the area to gain valuable knowledge about dogs while having fun and deepening their connection with “man’s best friend.” The camp continues to be a popular choice for those who want to learn more about these incredible creatures and form lifelong bonds with them.
