On 12 April, a man named Robert Rust confessed to burglarizing eight businesses in Cambridge. The 36-year-old from Northstowe had been arrested and charged with the crimes earlier that month, after a string of break-ins were reported at takeaways and stores in the city. The police had been investigating the incidents, which took place in March. Rust has been kept in custody and is set to be sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court on 6 May.
