Burgers Grilled Right Closes its Reston Location: End of an Era for the National Burger Chain

Reston’s Burgers Grilled Right Shuts Down Due to Tough Business Climate

In an announcement that has left many shocked, Burgers Grilled Right (BGR) has closed its Reston location. The last burger was served on June 15th, marking the end of an era for the popular national burger chain.

BGR is a well-known brand with locations in various states including Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, and more. The closure of its Reston location was a surprise to many loyal customers and staff members alike. The large BGR sign has already been taken down and a note has been posted on the window to inform patrons about the closure.

In the note, BGR expressed gratitude to customers for their support over the last 5 1/2 years and mentioned that their Springfield and Arlington locations are still open for business. While specific reasons for the closure were not provided, franchise owner Ralph Alexander Brower hinted that it was a challenging area to operate a business.

The property owner, JBG Smith, has not yet announced a new tenant for the space. However, a note on the window hints at upcoming restaurant and retail concepts that are reviewing the available space. The note also encourages people to keep an eye out for updates in late summer and early winter.

On a positive note, Kook Dogg is set to open next door to the former BGR location in the coming months. Originally scheduled for an April opening, Kook Dogg was delayed due to permitting issues.

Overall, BGR’s closure marks the end of one chapter in Reston’s dining scene but paves way for new opportunities in this fast-paced industry.
