Bulls Explore LaVine Trades Again, Open to Lower Priced Offers

Bulls drastically reducing asking price in potential Zach LaVine trade

The Chicago Bulls explored the possibility of trading Zach LaVine during the February deadline, but their high asking price of an All-Star level player plus additional picks did not generate much interest in the market. However, both the Bulls and LaVine are still interested in making a trade this offseason, and they are now willing to consider lower-priced offers as reported by K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago.

Despite some setbacks due to injuries, LaVine has had a successful career as an elite isolation scorer and former All-Star. Teams are wary of his defensive abilities and his contribution to winning games, as well as his expensive contract with three years and $138 million remaining. Despite his desire to be traded to teams like the Heat, 76ers, or Lakers, it is unlikely that any of them will take on his salary at this time.

However, with a lower asking price, it is expected that more teams will express interest in acquiring the talented player. Both sides have motivation to make a deal happen this offseason, but the Bulls are not willing to accept any offer that does not benefit them in some way. As they head into the summer months, they are open to exploring different possibilities for LaVine’s future with the team or elsewhere.
