Bulldogs Land Highly Sought-After Safety Recruit Rashad Johnson, Boosting Their Recruiting Class to Third in the Nation

UGA football expected to land another 4-star recruit

Rashad Johnson, a four-star safety recruit, is predicted to commit to the Georgia Bulldogs, according to Steve Wiltfong of On3. Johnson has previously had offers from Penn State, Louisville, and Texas A&M but has pushed back his commitment date to July 14. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound safety currently plays for South Sumter High School in Florida and also plays as a wide receiver.

In his highlights, Johnson showcases his ball skills, athleticism, and ability to deliver tight coverage and solid tackles. Ranked as the No. 360 prospect in the nation and the No. 49 recruit in Florida, Johnson is also ranked as the No. 33 safety in the country. Although Georgia currently does not have any commitments from defensive backs in the class of 2025, that is expected to change soon with Johnson’s potential commitment looming on July 14th.

Georgia football currently boasts a third-ranked recruiting class in the nation behind Alabama and Ohio State with 17 commitments in the class of 2025. With Johnson’s addition to their roster, Bulldogs fans can look forward to adding another talented player to their team.
