Bucks Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo Suffers Non-Contact Leg Injury, Leaves Game Early; Will Undergo Further Testing

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a non-contact leg injury during the team’s win over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday. The injury occurred in the second half of the game when Antetokounmpo was jogging up the court after inbounding the ball. He suddenly fell to the floor, clutching his left calf in pain before limping off the court and heading to the locker room.

Antetokounmpo was diagnosed with a left calf strain and was ruled out for the remainder of the game. He will undergo further testing, including an MRI, to determine the extent of the injury. Despite losing Antetokounmpo to injury, Milwaukee managed to secure a victory over Boston thanks to Patrick Beverley and Brook Lopez who stepped up to lead them.

The loss snapped a five-game win streak for Boston who failed to shoot any free throws during their game against Milwaukee.

The Bucks currently hold a 48-31 record and are second in Eastern Conference standings, with only three games left in regular season. The Celtics have secured top seed position in conference despite failing to make any free throws during their game against Milwaukee.

The timing of Antetokounmpo’s injury is concerning for Milwaukee as they prepare for playoffs, especially since he is one of their key players this season, averaging 30.7 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game.
