Buccaneers left tackle Tristan Wirfs follows a different path than wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and Brandon Aiyuk during mandatory minicamps

Tristan Wirfs is anticipated to participate in Buccaneers minicamp, according to reports

Buccaneers left tackle Tristan Wirfs has taken a different approach to wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and Brandon Aiyuk when it comes to mandatory minicamps. While both Lamb and Aiyuk are facing potential fines of over $100,000 for skipping their teams’ mandatory minicamps this week in an effort to secure contract extensions, Wirfs chose to skip voluntary activities but is expected to rejoin the Bucs for next week’s minicamp.

There is uncertainty about the level of participation Wirfs will have in practice sessions during minicamp. Despite his decision to skip voluntary work earlier this offseason, Wirfs is slated to play out the upcoming season on his fifth-year option, which will earn him $18.244 million. It remains to be seen how his contract situation will unfold as he returns to team activities.

On the other hand, Lamb and Aiyuk are facing potential fines for not attending their teams’ mandatory minicamps this week. Their decision to skip voluntary work earlier this offseason was an effort to secure contract extensions with their respective teams. While both players have yet to sign new deals, there is speculation that they may be looking for more lucrative contracts than what their current teams are willing to offer.
