Brookhaven High School Panthers Shine in State-Wide Polymer Science Competition

Panthers excel as top science students in local school – Daily Leader

Recently, the Brookhaven High School Panthers participated in an online competition test against 66 students from across the state. The contest covered the first year’s curriculum of Polymer Science 1. The students from Brookhaven Technical Center stood out with eight out of the top 10 scores in Mississippi. Among them, Rivers Jordan secured first place, Ian Iles secured second place, and Thomas Baker and Carson Becker tied for third place.

The success of these students reflects the dedication and hard work they have put into their studies. They showcased their knowledge and skills in Polymer Science 1, securing top positions. This is a proud moment for the school district and the Brookhaven community to have such talented individuals representing them on a state level.

The competition served as a platform for recognizing and rewarding outstanding achievements of students in the field of science. It was conducted in collaboration with the University of Southern Mississippi School of Polymer Science and Engineering, which further enriched the experience and provided valuable learning opportunities for participants.
