Bristol Deurne Store Closes Down in Clearance Sale as Company Faces Financial Challenges

Bristol Shoe Store in Deurne Launches Clearance Sale with Items Priced from 1 to 5 Euros

Bristol, the shoe and clothing chain, has commenced a clearance sale in its Deurne store on Keesinglaan. The store is offering items for 1, 3 or 5 euros as part of the sale. This marks the first time that such a sale has taken place in this particular store.

The marketing director of Bristol, Lore Vanaudenhouve, stated that the clearance sale in Deurne is a result of the independent operator of the store ceasing operations. However, Bristol’s own staff is now managing the store. The sale will continue until everything is sold, after which the store will be closed down permanently.

Customers can enjoy significant discounts at other Bristol stores in Flanders as well. These stores are still being supplied from the distribution center in Beringen and offer discounts of up to seventy percent. Negotiations with potential buyers for these stores are ongoing, with more information expected to be announced by August’s beginning.

Bristol has been facing several challenges due to various factors such as the impact of coronavirus pandemic, rising rent and energy costs, economic downturn and unfavorable weather conditions affecting sales. Furthermore, being an independent chain it lacks the scale of larger competitors which allows them to get better discounts from suppliers. Despite all these challenges, Bristol remains determined to find a solution for its financial difficulties.
