Fabian Hurzeler appointment sees Brighton break Premier League record

Brighton has appointed Fabian Hurzeler as their new head coach, breaking a Premier League record by becoming the youngest-ever coach in the history of the English top flight. At 31 years old, Hurzeler will lead the team from the sidelines next season.

After Roberto De Zerbi departed, Brighton turned to American-born German coach Fabian Hurzeler to take over as head coach. He has signed a three-year deal with the club and will be joining the Seagulls next season.

Brighton’s technical director, David Weir, announced that Hurzeler’s supporting staff will be announced soon. It was revealed that Andrew Crofts and Jack Stern will be part of the coaching group as first-team coach and goalkeeping coach respectively.

According to Sky Sports, Brighton reached out to St. Pauli last week to negotiate a compensation deal for Hurzeler. The negotiations are now complete and Hurzeler will be officially presented to the media during a press conference on July 2.
