Applied Cognitive Science Welcomes A New Generation Studying the Future

Students from the Faculties of Philosophy and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in Zagreb have been invited to participate in the second cohort of “future studies”. This study program aims to combine social-humanistic and technical knowledge, educating students to become experts in the relationship between humans and machines. Interviews with candidates and the announcement of results for enrollment will take place in September.

If you are seeking a program that will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the age of advanced technology, consider applying for this unique and forward-thinking study opportunity. The Bachelor’s degree program in Applied Cognitive Sciences, a joint effort between the two faculties, offers 180 ECTS credits, a transcript of grades, a motivation letter, a recommendation from a professor, and proof of English language skills as application requirements.

Professors Renata Geld and Dario Bojanjac, providing leadership to the study program, have highlighted the importance of understanding human behavior, external influences on decision-making, and the development of artificial intelligence in today’s technological landscape. They emphasize the need for experts who bridge the gap between the humanities and technology in industries that increasingly rely on interdisciplinary expertise.

This interdisciplinary study program aims to produce innovators who can navigate the evolving landscape of human-machine interaction in various sectors, including startups. The study leaders stress the importance of creating professionals who can serve as mediators between science and industry, providing a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between humans and technology.
