The visit from the Rensselaer Engineering Ambassadors to Ballston Spa Middle School was a valuable opportunity for the students to explore real-world applications of what they were learning in their science classes. The ambassadors, who hailed from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), shared engaging Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) activities with the students. Each class had the chance to learn about an engineering topic that related to their current studies and participate in a hands-on activity or demonstration led by the ambassadors.

The collaboration between the college ambassadors and the middle school students inspired and engaged them in STEM subjects. It showed them the exciting possibilities that awaited them in the field of engineering. The visit helped to bring the concepts they were learning to life, making STEM subjects more accessible and exciting for the students.

Some of the topics covered during the visit included roller coasters, oil spills, sea level, and biomimicry. These topics provided a great opportunity for students to see how engineering principles can be applied to solve complex problems. By participating in hands-on activities and demonstrations, they were able to gain a deeper understanding of these concepts and apply them in practical situations.

Overall, the visit from the Rensselaer Engineering Ambassadors was a great success at Ballston Spa Middle School. It left a lasting impact on students by providing them with an opportunity to connect their studies with real-world applications in STEM education.
