Harvard Business School introduces new Leadership Fellows for 2024-25 — Harvard Gazette

Harvard Business School has recently announced the participants for the 2024-2025 cohort of its Leadership Fellows Program. Since its inception in 2003, the program has placed over 300 fellows at organizations like the city of Boston Mayor’s Office, Harlem Children’s Zone, Equal Justice Initiative, Mercy Corps, and Whitney Museum of American Art.

The program, inspired by University Professor Michael Porter’s vision, aims to cultivate a network of HBS alumni with diverse professional backgrounds who are dedicated to addressing societal issues throughout their careers. Graduating students, referred to as fellows, are given the opportunity to take on impactful management roles in nonprofit and public sector organizations for a year at a competitive salary. Through this program, fellows gain unique experiences while hiring organizations benefit from the fellows’ energy, strategic thinking, and analytical skills to deliver immediate results and enhance long-term organizational capacity.

By participating in the Leadership Fellows Program, students have the chance to make meaningful contributions to organizations dedicated to addressing societal challenges. This experience provides fellows with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to drive positive change in their future careers. The program serves as a bridge between the business sector and the nonprofit and public sectors, helping to create a pipeline of leaders committed to making a difference in society.
