Five international projects have been honored with the Brick Award 2024, showcasing the versatility and diversity of brick architecture. The aim of the award is to recognize pioneers in the field of brick architecture and support innovative solutions that address environmental and social challenges in construction.

The Brick Award was first launched in 2004 and has been awarded every two years since. This year, five winners from 54 countries were selected from a pool of 734 submitted projects. Each project was chosen for its aesthetics, innovation, and sustainability.

This year’s winners include the International Rugby Experience in Ireland, the Apartment building M 5605 in Argentina, the Public Pavilion in Spain, the Intermediate House in Paraguay, and the Electricity Supply Board Headquarters in Ireland. Each project demonstrates unique use of brick in architecture, highlighting its beauty and functionality.

The dominance of brick in the International Rugby Experience stands out as one example of this versatile building material’s potential for innovation. Meanwhile, geometric spatial structures created in the Public Pavilion showcase another side of brick’s capabilities.
