Dr. Chris Awwad, a healthcare professional at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, discussed the importance of inclusive healthcare for the LGBTQ+ community. The center provides comprehensive care tailored to the specific needs of LGBTQ+ individuals, emphasizing the need for inclusive healthcare services.
The NJ Pride Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Director, Gus Penaranda, highlighted the significance of this law in sending a message of inclusivity to businesses looking to invest in New Jersey. The state’s existing certification programs for women, minorities, and veterans have already proven successful in connecting certified businesses with contracting opportunities.
