Breaking News: Ukrainian Missiles Strike Sevastopol, Killing Two Children in Latest Escalation of Tensions Between Russia and Ukraine

Rocket debris falls on beach in Crimea, leaving 3 dead and 125 injured

On Sunday, the port city of Sevastopol, located on the Crimean peninsula annexed by Russia in 2014, was hit by Ukrainian missiles. The attack resulted in three deaths and 125 injuries, according to Russian Ministry of Health. Among the casualties were two children who were killed when debris from rockets ended up on the beach near Sevastopol. Despite defense efforts to shoot down several Ukrainian rockets, many people were injured due to the explosions. Local authorities reported that 27 victims, including five children with life-threatening injuries, are still hospitalized.

The Russian Defense Ministry blamed the United States for the attack on Sevastopol, alleging that ATACMS missiles supplied by Washington to Kiev were used in this incident. The Ministry stated that such actions will not go unanswered. Sevastopol is a crucial logistics hub for the Russian military and hosts the headquarters of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. It is also the largest city on the Crimean peninsula, administratively separate from Crimea where Simferopol is its capital.

On Sunday, Belgorod region near the Ukrainian border was targeted by drone strikes that left one person dead and three injured. A local governor reported that a drone exploded in a parking lot in Belgorod City. This incident marks another example of Ukraine’s aggression against Russia’s territory despite Kiev’s claims of self-defense against Russian aggression on its territory. The attack highlights the escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine and raises concerns about potential future attacks on civilian populations in both countries.
