Breaking News: Discovery of USS Harder Wreckage in the South China Sea Thanks to Advanced Technology

Breakthrough Underwater Survey Technology Unveils USS Harder Discovery

Tim Taylor, the CEO of Tiburon Subsea, and his team have made an unprecedented discovery in the South China Sea. After decades of being submerged, the wreckage of the USS Harder, a renowned US Navy submarine that sank during World War II, has been found.

The USS Harder was famously known for sinking the most Japanese warships during the war. It had already managed to sink three Japanese destroyers before it was severely damaged and eventually sunk on August 29, 1944. The submarine’s location was discovered by Taylor and his team in collaboration with the Lost 52 Project, which is dedicated to locating the 52 American submarines lost during World War II.

The discovery came after years of meticulous research and planning. According to BBC News, the wreck lies 3,000 feet (914 meters) underwater off the Philippine island of Luzon. The NHHC confirmed the wreck through data provided by the Lost 52 Project led by Tim Taylor.

Taylor’s expertise in developing Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) technology allowed him and his team to document each gravesite with advanced 4D modeling photogrammetry. This has resulted in comprehensive historical archeological records that are currently available today. The project has garnered international recognition from both JAMSTEC and the Philippines National Museum.

In an exclusive interview with NBC News’ Tom Llamas, Taylor explained how he and his team were able to locate and document the wreckage of the USS Harder. He said that they used state-of-the-art technology to scan for any signs of shipwrecks in
