The “Tavush for the Motherland” movement leader, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, announced during a rally that he had met with independent deputy Ishkhan Zakaryan. According to the archbishop, Zakaryan had agreed to participate in the process of expressing no confidence in the Prime Minister. Despite their differences, they had come together to work towards a common goal.
To present a draft resolution of no confidence in the Prime Minister to the Parliament, at least 36 MPs’ signatures are required. Currently, the opposition factions “Armenia” and “I have honor” collectively account for 35 deputies. This means that one more deputy’s signature is necessary to move the project forward. Discussions on the impeachment process are ongoing, with “Hayastan” faction deputy Gegham Manukan providing updates on the situation. Members of the ruling CP party have stated that none of them will be joining the process.
