The AHA Accelerating Health Equity Conference in Kansas City, Mo. is set to kick off tomorrow with over 1,000 attendees from diverse sectors coming together to drive change and improve access to quality health care for everyone. This year’s theme, Driving Change Together, underscores the importance of collaboration among leaders across different fields to achieve health equity.
The conference, led by the AHA Community Health Improvement (ACHI) network and the Institute for Diversity and Health Equity (IFDHE), brings together a lineup of plenary speakers, breakout sessions, and immersion experiences focused on critical topics such as building community partnerships, addressing social determinants of health, promoting diversity in leadership, and creating inclusive workplaces. Participants will also have the chance to visit local organizations in Kansas City neighborhoods to see community health improvement initiatives in action.
