Nigerian Chef, Grace Nwaokobia, recently broke the Guinness World Record for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon. The impressive feat lasted 86 hours and surpassed the previous record of 68 hours and 30 minutes. Former presidential candidate Peter Obi was among the attendees at the event to celebrate Chef Grace’s achievement.
Obi took to X.com to commend Chef Grace’s accomplishment and emphasize the importance of creating a supportive environment in Nigeria that empowers young people to unleash their entrepreneurial potential. He highlighted his commitment to encouraging youth towards entrepreneurship and expertise by attending the event early in the morning.
“I made it a point to show up this morning to support Chef Grace Nwaokobia #chefgraceggk as she broke the Guinness World Record for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon by an individual,” said Obi. “The food prepared on Saturday was delivered to The Little Saints Orphanage in Ilupeju, showcasing Chef Grace’s commitment to charitable causes.”
Obi further added that most of the meals cooked during the marathon were donated to charity, including The Little Saints Orphanage in Ilupeju. He emphasized that Nigeria needs a nurturing environment that empowers young people to be productive and tap into their entrepreneurial abilities so they can build a new Nigeria that is achievable!
