Local organization holds event promoting mental health for achieving professional success

In Baton Rouge, Master Your Moment recently hosted a “Mental Wealth” event at the Sky Lounge. The event brought together community leaders and professionals from the capital area for a panel discussion that highlighted the importance of prioritizing mental health while achieving personal and professional success.

The panel, which included licensed social worker Jemiela Castleberry and Victoria Rankins, CEO of Writer’s Block, emphasized that mental health is often overlooked and not openly discussed in various communities. Castleberry spoke about the stigma surrounding mental health in the Black community, stressing the need to break down barriers and increase access to mental health services. She emphasized the importance of working together to address mental health challenges.
