The Governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, took to social media to show solidarity with Israel and express his hope for a peaceful resolution to the escalating tensions. Senator Damares Alves also asked for prayers for those affected by the attacks.
Former President Jair Bolsonaro also condemned Iran’s actions and expressed his support for Israel. Some Brazilian politicians criticized the government’s response for not explicitly condemning the attacks. However, others defended it, stating that it was better to remain neutral in international conflicts rather than taking sides.
