On June 18th, 2024, representatives from ACATE – Technology Association of Santa Catarina State in Brazil, the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (BCCC), and their guests gathered at the TMX Market Center located at 120 Adelaide St West, Ground Floor in Toronto to close the stock market for the day.

The event was sponsored by CNW and marked a significant milestone for both organizations. ACATE represents over 1,700 technology companies and institutions from the state of Santa Catarina in Brazil. It has been recognized as one of the top five incubators in the world since 2017, focusing on promoting the growth of the technology sector through innovation, cooperation, and international expansion. Their recent trade mission to Canada aimed to showcase the potential of using Canada as a platform for Brazilian technology firms to market their solutions globally and establish their Canadian presence in collaboration with BCCC.

BCCC is a Canadian non-profit organization that has been facilitating bilateral trade and investments between Canada and Brazil for more than 50 years. Their collaboration with ACATE on this mission highlights their commitment to strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
