Security camera footage captures police officers saving dogs at Fairfield business complex

On a Saturday night, a harrowing incident took place in Fairfield when 46 dogs were rescued by police officers from a business complex on Bloomfield Avenue near Route 46. The Pio Costa Industrial Complex was filled with heavy smoke and posed a dangerous environment for the officers.

Without any fire safety equipment, the police officers rushed into the building to save the dogs. The video of the rescue has been widely circulated online and shows the brave actions of these officers as they broke through a security door to access the kennels where the dogs were housed.

Despite the difficult conditions, the officers managed to locate and rescue all 46 dogs from the smoky building. The fire that caused the smoke had started in a nearby convenience and smoke shop and quickly spread, affecting surrounding businesses as well. One police officer had to be taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation, but all the dogs were successfully rescued.
