Boston Celtics vs. Cleveland Cavaliers: Can They Survive Without All-Stars Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen in Game 4?

Cavaliers’ All-Star Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen to be absent for Game 4 against Celtics in NBA playoffs.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are facing a tough challenge in Game 4 against the Boston Celtics as they will be without All-Star Donovan Mitchell due to a calf strain. Mitchell, who was previously listed as questionable, will sorely be missed by the Cavs. In addition to Mitchell, starting center Jarrett Allen will continue to be sidelined with a rib injury that has kept him out since the first round of the playoffs.

The Cavaliers announced their starting lineup for Game 4, which includes Darius Garland, Caris LeVert, Max Strus, Isaac Okoro, and Evan Mobley. Despite his absence, Mitchell has been a key contributor in the postseason and his performances against the Celtics in previous games have been crucial for the Cavs.

In 10 playoff games this season, Mitchell has been averaging an impressive 29.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He has been shooting an impressive 47.6% from the floor and 35.4% from 3-point range. These statistics highlight how much he brings to the team and how much he will be missed during his absence from the series that currently trails 2-1.

The absence of another All-Star player such as Jarrett Allen also poses a challenge for Cleveland as he is known for his post presence and averaged 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game in the regular season
