Boost to their Bullpens: The Orioles and Brewers Complete a Trade with Thyago Vieira and Aneuris Rodriguez.

Trade between the Orioles and Brewers sees Thyago Vieira joining Baltimore’s roster

The Milwaukee Brewers and the Baltimore Orioles made a trade on Saturday, with the Orioles acquiring reliever Thyago Vieira and minor league pitcher Aneuris Rodriguez from the Brewers. In return, the Orioles sent minor league right-hander Garrett Stallings to the Brewers.

Vieira, 31, had a 5.64 ERA in 16 appearances with the Brewers this season before being designated for assignment. He has a career record of 2-2 with two saves and a 6.18 ERA in 41 big league games, having also played for Seattle and the Chicago White Sox. With his experience and proven track record, Vieira is expected to provide a boost to the Orioles’ struggling bullpen.

Stallings, 26, was a fifth-round pick by the Los Angeles Angels in the 2019 draft. He posted a 5.67 ERA in 11 games, including four starts, for Triple-A Norfolk this season. As an up-and-coming prospect with plenty of potential, Stallings will be a valuable addition to the Brewers’ minor league system as they look to develop their young talent into major league contributors.

The trade brings both experience and potential to both teams as they continue to work towards building strong rosters for future seasons.
