A lack of dugout rails at the stadium led to a confusing collision between Tyler Soderstrom and Blue Jays pitcher Yusei Kikuchi. Soderstrom was attempting to catch a popup in foul territory when Kikuchi ran out of the dugout and collided with the A’s first baseman. As a result, the batter, Davis Schneider, was called out for Kikuchi’s obstruction.
