Bisbee’s Beloved Café Roka Closing Down, Leaving a Legacy for a New Owner

After Over 30 Years in Operation, Café Roka in Bisbee is Shuttering its Doors

Café Roka, a beloved restaurant in Bisbee, Arizona, has announced its closure after more than 25 years in business. Chef and owner Rod Kass has decided to sell the three-story building that houses the restaurant, bar, additional seating, and loft apartment for $1.675 million. The sale will include all kitchen equipment, furnishings, and the business name.

Despite the closure, Café Roka will remain open for up to six weeks to assist in the transition to a new owner. Kass is searching for someone who shares his passion and love for the community to take over the business and maintain its spirit. Local Foodie Edie Jarolim described Café Roka as managing “to be unpretentious while embracing many haute cuisine trappings,” making it a special place for many.

During the remaining weeks of operation, Café Roka will continue to serve dinner from Thursday to Saturday from 5-9 p.m. and offer cocktails from 9-11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Reservations are recommended for dinner services. The restaurant is located at 35 Main St., Bisbee, Arizona 85603, and can be contacted at (520) 432-5153 or through their website at caferoka.com.
