Birth Trauma Inquiry Calls for Reform in UK’s Maternity and Postnatal Care Systems as Skydivers Achieve Historic Flight Through Tower Bridge

The UK’s maternity and postnatal care systems are in dire need of reform, according to a report from the Birth Trauma Inquiry. The inquiry gathered harrowing testimonies from over 1,300 women, some of whom shared their experiences of being left in blood-soaked bedding, while others described their children suffering life-altering injuries due to medical errors. NHS England chief executive Amanda Pritchard expressed disappointment in the accounts shared in the report, stating that such experiences are unacceptable.

In other news, two professional skydivers, Marco Furst and Marco Waltenspiel, achieved the historic feat of completing the world’s first wingsuit flight through London’s Tower Bridge. The Austrian Red Bull skydivers leapt from a helicopter at 3,000 feet, swooping down to just 35 meters above the River Thames.
