On Saturday, President Biden confirmed that US forces had supported Israel in taking down most of the drones and missiles fired by Iran at the country. He reiterated his unwavering support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and condemned the attack on Israel’s military facilities.
Biden announced that he would be convening a meeting with leaders of the G7 nations to coordinate a united diplomatic response to Iran’s aggressive actions. He expressed his strong disapproval of the attacks launched by Iran and its proxies from Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.
In response to the escalating threat from Iran, Biden had deployed US military aircraft and ballistic missile defense destroyers to the Middle East. Thanks to these deployments and the skill of US servicemembers, Israel was able to effectively defend against and defeat the incoming threats.
Biden reassured Netanyahu of America’s commitment to Israel’s security and praised Israel’s ability to defend against unprecedented attacks. He emphasized that no US forces or facilities had been targeted by Iran during the incident.
