Biden and Harris Fall Short in April Fundraising But Reach Record Cash Amount in June.

In April 2024, Biden raises over 51 million, Trump gathers 76 million

Biden and Harris’ re-election campaign has announced that they raised over 51 million dollars in April, which was less than the 76 million raised by former President Donald Trump during the same month. Despite this, the Democratic Party has reached a record cash amount of $192 million in June, earlier than any Democratic candidate has achieved during this stage of the election cycle.

The campaign stated that their fundraising efforts in April fell short of the Republican challenger, but they have built a strong and lasting network of donors. The majority of funds raised in April came from grassroots donors, and they added over a million voters to their email list in that month.

Biden’s campaign manager, Julie Chavez Rodriguez, criticized the Trump campaign, noting that most of their funds come from wealthy donors. She highlighted investments in opening offices, hiring organizers, and communication in key states to mobilize voters for the upcoming election.

The fundraising in April represented a decline from March, when Biden raised $90 million with the help of events featuring former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Trump and Biden are set to be the candidates for their parties in the presidential election in November
