Bidding Farewell to Coleraine’s Valuable Players as They Prepare for the Upcoming Season

McKendry and Lowry Leave Showgrounds in Coleraine

As the Bannsiders prepare for the upcoming season, they will be bidding farewell to two key players, Conor McKendry and Stephen Lowry. McKendry, a 25-year-old winger, has made a significant impact during his three years at Showgrounds after transferring from Larne. On the other hand, Lowry departs at the age of 37 after scoring 44 goals in 373 appearances for the club.

Coleraine manager Oran Kearney expressed his gratitude towards McKendry for his contributions to the team and wished him success in his future endeavors. In addition to McKendry and Lowry, Kieran Farren and Lee Harkin will also not have their contracts renewed for the upcoming season.

Kearney acknowledged Lowry’s significant role both on and off the field throughout his tenure at Coleraine. As a player, he scored numerous goals that helped lead the team to several victories. Off the field, he took on coaching responsibilities this season and mentored several young players in the squad.

The club prepares to say goodbye to these two valuable players who have made substantial contributions to the team during their time at Coleraine. Their departure will leave a void in the squad that will need to be filled before the start of next season. However, Kearney remains optimistic about what lies ahead for Coleraine as they continue their journey towards success on and off the field.
