Beyond the Rainbow: Philadelphia Aims to Break Guinness World Record for Largest Drag Story Time Reading during Pride Month

Philadelphia aims to set world record for drag story time event

On June 1, organizers in Philadelphia are set to attempt a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest drag story time reading. The event, sponsored by Visit Philly and organized by The Philadelphia Gay News, will take place at the National Constitution Center starting at 9 a.m.

Several drag performers from the Philadelphia region will be reading aloud from children’s books as part of the record attempt, with Brittany Lynn serving as the emcee. An adjudicator from Guinness World Records will be present to ensure that all guidelines are followed during the event.

The timing of this attempt coincides perfectly with Pride month, which will see various events taking place throughout June in the city. This provides an excellent opportunity for audience members who are interested in participating to register online beforehand.

In addition to being an entertaining experience, this event is also an excellent way to show support for the LGBTQ+ community and promote inclusivity and diversity in our society.
