Beyond Good & Evil is set to return on its 20th anniversary with a new edition that promises an enhanced and immersive experience. The game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on June 25th. Limited Run Games will release physical editions for all consoles, with pre-orders opening on July 12th.
Players are invited to revisit Hillys with Jade, Pey’J, Double H, and other colorful characters as they embark on an adventure to the Moon. This special edition includes a new Anniversary Gallery, a re-orchestrated soundtrack, and more. Compared to the original 2003 release, the game offers improved performance up to 4K resolution, 60 frames per second, auto-saves, the ability to skip scenes, full controller and keyboard and mouse support, and cross-saves across all platforms.
In addition to these enhancements, there will be a new Speedrun mode and over 20 new trophy achievements for players to unlock. The Anniversary Edition of Beyond Good & Evil is sure to provide both new and returning players with an exciting adventure filled with treasure hunts in Hillys and never-before-seen artwork and content from the game’s development process.
