Bengals QB Joe Burrow set to Start Training Camp Unrestricted, Aims for First Full Season of Health and Success

Bengals begin OTAs with no pitch count for Joe Burrow

The Bengals’ OTAs will begin tomorrow with no restrictions on their starting quarterback, Joe Burrow. According to offensive coordinator Mike Pitcher, who spoke with Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, there will be no pitch count on Burrow, who suffered a season-ending wrist injury last November in Baltimore.

Pitcher explained that they designed the whole thing to stay within the constraints of where the medical people think he should be and where he wants to be right now. Despite this, they have been smart in how they put it together. There won’t be any special pitch counter sitting there to monitor Burrow’s training.

Pitcher also mentioned that Burrow currently has “all his range and power,” indicating that he is in good shape for the upcoming season. This suggests that Burrow may have the first normal training camp of his career, as he has faced setbacks in previous years due to injuries such as a torn ACL, appendectomy, and calf injury.

Burrow has shown that he is one of the top three or four quarterbacks in the league when healthy. However, injuries have been a major obstacle as he has had two significant injuries in his four years as a starter. The Bengals’ success could depend on Burrow’s ability to stay healthy and lead the team, potentially helping them win their first ever Super Bowl.
